Welcome to Emergency Training Solutions, LLC Hybrid Online EMT Basic Course
This course prepares the student for certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), as defined and recognized by the VA Office of EMS and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NR). It doesn’t matter if you are a Virginia resident or from out-of-state, successful completion of our online/hybrid EMT program will enable you to sit for the National Registry of EMT’s certification exam. Our course content includes the knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at the basic life support level with an emergency service or other specialized service. Students will be using myBRADYlab for distance learning coursework. Instruction for our hybrid EMT course is delivered through media (PowerPoints, videos, links, and audio technology) via the internet.
16 years or older by 8/29/20
A valid healthcare level CPR certification that meets state requirements
Able to perform physical tasks as outlined by Virginia Office of EMS
August 29, 2020 to February 20, 2021 (winter break held Nov. 22-Jan. 15)
During the fall, students will complete the course work online using the MyBradyLab learning management system and meet weekly via Zoom for review, presentations, and case studies. In January and February, students will meet in-person for hands-on skills labs at the Thomas Jefferson EMS Council, 400 Martha Jefferson Drive Ste 100, Charlottesville, VA 22911. All sessions will be on Saturdays from 2pm to 6pm with the exception of the orientation and exam dates.
This is an intensive course requiring students to complete several chapters of readings and online assignments weekly, actively participate in scenarios and hands-on skills labs, and work directly with patients in an EMS setting.

A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your seat and will be deducted from your total tuition. Registration closes on August 1, 2020!
