Accelerated, Hybrid EMT Program
The accelerated, hybrid EMT course is designed to prepare the student for certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), as defined and recognized by the VA Office of EMS and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. The course content includes the knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at the basic life support level with an emergency service. Self-study is completed online using MyBradyLab, PowerPoints, videos, audio, and readings. Students will meet for weekly labs on Saturday afternoons to apply the material. Examinations are delivered through EMSTESTING.com. This EMT course requires many hours of independent study and active participation during labs!
The following pre-requisites must be met prior to the start date of the program:
Must be 16 years or older
Must hold a valid healthcare level CPR certification that meets state requirements
Must be able to perform physical tasks as outlined by Virginia Office of EMS

January 22, 2022 to April 30, 2022 - Registration opens in July 2021
August 27, 2022 to December 3, 2022 - Registration opens in March 2022
Tuition is $1200 which includes your course textbook, learning management system, uniform polo shirt, subscription to emstesting.com, blood pressure cuff, pen light, and a stethoscope!
A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your seat. This deposit covers the cost of course development and procurement of student resources occurring in advance of the course.
Invoices are sent to new registrants by PayPal every Thursday. Students may pay against this invoice by credit card or check made payable to Emergency Training Solutions, LLC. Deposits are due with 15 days of registration and the remaining balance is due on the first day of class.
