Hybrid EMT Program

Our Hybrid EMT Program is designed to prepare students for certification as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), as defined and recognized by the Virginia Office of EMS and the National Registry of EMTs. The course content includes the knowledge and skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at the basic life support level with an emergency service. Many of our students become volunteer and career EMTs while others work as ED Technicians in various hospital systems.

We are grateful to be hosted by the Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad but please note that our programs are not directly affiliated with any EMS agency and do not qualify students for academic credit. Our clinical partners include UVAHealth and the Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad.
