American Heart Association HeartCode PALS
HeartCode PALS is a blended learning program that requires completion of a pre-course assessment, online course module with AHA, and a hands-on skills session taught by Emergency Training Solutions. This course covers the following material:

Key changes in pediatric advanced life support, reflecting the new science from the 2020 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care

High-quality Child CPR AED and Infant CPR

Recognition of patients who do and do not require immediate intervention

Recognition of cardiopulmonary arrest early and application of CPR within 10 seconds

Apply team dynamics

Differentiation between respiratory distress and failure

Early interventions for respiratory distress and failure
-
Differentiation between compensated and decompensated (hypotensive) shock

Early interventions for the treatment of shock

Differentiation between unstable and stable patients with arrhythmias

Clinical characteristics of instability in patients with arrhythmias

Post–cardiac arrest management
What is required?
Step 1: Complete the online component from the American Heart Association.
Step 2: Complete the survey from AHA to obtain your online course completion certificate. Print this to provide us at the hands-on session.
Step 3: Complete the hands-on skill session with Emergency Training Solutions.
Step 4: Complete the survey from AHA to obtain your virtual ACLS card. The survey is usually available within 2 days of your session.
What is the cost?
The AHA online module is $173.00 and the hands-on session with ETS is $150.00. Payments are collected at the time of registration.
Refund Policy: Effective February 18, 2025, any refunds for AHA programs will be subject to a 5% inconvenience fee.
